FAITH IN ME IS
A VIRTUE

Faith in Me is a virtue that wavers like a reed of wheat on a windy day. It blows from side to side depending on the direction of the wind. It moves closer to the ground if the velocity of the wind increases. Sometimes the wind is so strong the stem of wheat is torn from its roots and falls to the ground.  

You believe in Me with your whole heart, mind, soul and will. Yet, there are days when you are cold to Me. There are days when you are on fire for Me. There are also days when you feel empty of Me and walk aimlessly. Your foundation has been so shaken by life's events. 

Don't you wish faith were a constant? Don't you wish it would just stand still so you can get a grip on it? My friend faith in Me is as alive as you are in My love. Due to human nature the state of your soul varies daily. When you fall into sin your love of Me is like a candle flickering before it dies. When you repent, your flickering flame roars like a forest fire.  

Do not worry about your faith. It is My gift to you. All I ask is that you multiply this gift by choosing Me over and over each day of your life. To stay fully afire with My faith, walk as close to Me as is humanly possible. I will inflame your spirit with gusts of breath from My Most Holy Spirit so that your desire to do My will never is in danger of death.  

I know your heart so well. Know this. Faith is not a feeling. It is a conviction. It is acting for Me when all else says run away. It means staying the course for Me when adversity threatens to knock you down. It is a belief. It is My gift to you for all time. Nourish it with My True Presence in the Eucharist. Exercise it through prayer and scripture. Strengthen it by sharing it with others over and over again.  

My friends your faith has saved you. Salvation is Mine to give to you as I deem fit. Faith in Me grows incrementally and geometrically within those who act on My gift of faith in their lives. If it did not blow in the winds of adversity it would never be strengthened. It would never be readied to withstand life's storms.
